This project has been an ongoing dream of mine for a while now. I’ve been doing Creative Writing Courses in Slovenia for years. The first one was back in 2013, so more than a decade ago.
I studied this stuff in the United Kingdom. I actually studied English Literature to be exact. One of the two students that year who weren’t from a native English-speaking country. You could say I like the language. I do lots of my writing in it. But I’ve been busy in Slovenia.
I’ve been writing and directing things. Plays mostly, some films, lots of short stories. I’ve written, depending on how you count, between nine and twelve plays, directed eight so far (currently working on the ninth). I won’t talk about the awards, but there have been some.
But I really like talking about writing. So I’ve always dreamed of a space where I could do that.
So I started making videos on the subject. The first one will come out in a couple of days.
I’ve created this website as a sort of extension to those videos. As a place I could call home. I have a similar website for my Slovenian Creative Writing Courses, (it’s called pisalnistroj.si for the curious-minded… or maybe it’s the doubters). I’ve created a great community around that website.
I’m envisioning something similar will happen here.
Who knows what will come in the future… Could be a creative writing course, could be a short story competition. I’ve good lots of ideas.
Let’s first get a couple of videos out, and then we’ll see where we’re headed, right?
